Green Party co-leader Metiria Turei joined Aaron and Heather from My Kitchen Rules NZ to help make lunch for kids at Awapuni School in Palmerston North.

On the menu was homemade muesli bars, chicken, chickpea and mango chutney meatballs and Aaron's salt reduced chop suey.

Aaron and Heather said, "Our food philosophy is that every one deserves to eat and to eat well, especially our tamariki. They are our future and we are their teachers."
